You might have noticed three pictures we recently put up on our Facebook page of us delivering Outland Camps trailers (and if not, you can view our Facebook page by clicking HERE.) The Outland Fire Camps have been supplying housing and food for the men and women battling the forest fires currently raging throughout western Canada.
With more than 90 wildfires burning in Alberta, Outland Camps are part of a greater effort to curb the dangerous spread of the forest fires, which is why it is an honour to work with them.
Alberta is currently experiencing one of the most intense wildfire seasons in recent history. About 1,200 fires have burned across the province this year, which is about 400 more than last year. This becomes a serious issue for Albertans when cities start to see a significant drop in air-quality and the fires start encroaching on cities and towns.
However, the good news is that the number of fires have significantly dropped over the past couple of weeks, due in part to companies like Outland Camps doing their part in the fire fight.
