Anyway, on to the questions!
How did you first get involved in the transportation industry?
A: I got involved in the transportation industry at a young age hauling and delivering farm equipment for Hornby Equipment. After a short stint of hauling logs I moved to Alberta to pursue trucking in a better economy. Oilfield Hauling has been my bread and butter for about 16 years now.
What was it that attracted you to the industry?
A: The opportunity to operate large trucks and unique equipment in the oil patch. As well as the chance to make more money.
Why did you choose Fox Oilfieild?
A: I started Fox Oilfield with my partner Chris Cassin to take the opportunity to provide a level of service and safety in a way that is the best of the best. The name was my choice because, to me and in society, it reflects a swift acute performer.
What do you think it is about Fox Oilfield that has instilled such an impressive safety mentality in everyone who works there?
A: There is one very simple answer to this… Communication! Policies and procedures help us train safety, but communication breeds the culture.
Where do you see Fox Oilfield in 5 years?
A: I see Fox Oilfield as a leader in the oilfield hauling industry with multiple branches to spread our commitment of best of the best service and safety.
What is it about Fox Oilfield that sets it apart from other companies in the industry?
A: Service. Every team member of Fox Oilfield has the same goal in mind at every turn. Customer satisfaction and safety.
Share with us your favourite story about Fox Oilfield!
A: Truthfully, I don’t have a favourite story. So far it all rolls into one big story of great relationships with great people and a huge feeling of being blessed and thankful.
What's the most challenging part of the job for you?
A: Well, Chris and I have made it an integral part of our duties to be very hands on. We play on our very different strengths and that makes for a great partnership. The challenge is choosing the pull double and triple duty sometimes, but you will only ever get out of something what you put in.
What do you love the most about your job?
A: Organizing Chaos! It’s a day to day thing, and I quite enjoy it. A lot of our customers have gained a trust in Fox Oilfield that lets them focus on their job, while Fox takes care of the rest.
And there you have it, Stofer James, VP Of Operations!
